(More customer reviews)I was a bit disappointed when I received this pressure cooker and learned that it pressurized to just 11.6 pounds pressure, when the book I got to go with it Miss Vickie's Big Book of Pressure Cooker Recipesrecommends and writes instructions for cookers that pressurize at 15 pounds pressure. It makes it more difficult to use, since instead of being able to use the instructions from other sources as written, I have to try to decide just how much longer I need to leave a product under pressure--I'll just have to do trial and error, then make notes on how long I left it and how it turned out.
Fortunately, the pressure cooker was on sale when I bought it, and for the money I spent I decided to keep it; if I had paid the full price, I probably would have sent it back.
